Oklahoma · 42 O.S. §§141–178Oklahoma mechanic's lien deadlines: four months, 90 days for subcontractors, and the pre-lien notice

A contractor files a verified lien statement with the county clerk within four months after the date materials or equipment were last furnished or labor last performed under its contract (42 O.S. §142). A subcontractor, supplier or worker under a contractor files within 90 days after it last furnished materials or labor, and until those 90 days run the owner bears the risk of payments made to the original contractor (§143). Before filing, a claimant other than the original contractor sends a pre-lien notice to the original contractor and an owner no later than 75 days after its last supply; a lien on a dwelling occupied by the owner isn't valid without that notice, though the notice isn't otherwise required for non-owner-occupied residential projects of up to four units or claims under $10,000 (§142.6(B)). A lien is enforced by a civil action brought within one year after it was filed (§172).
